School of Rock offers guitar lessons, drums lessons, vocals lessons, bass guitar lessons, and keyboard lessons. The program uses patented programs that combine 1-on-1 lessons with group band practices, based on a performance-based music education approach. Students in School of Rock play shows in real rock venues using the patented School of Rock Method and the PROFICIENCY METHOD™ music education system.

Founded as a single school in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1998, School of Rock has grown to more than 385 locations in 16 different countries, with more than 65,000 students worldwide. It offers the Little Wing program for ages 4–5, the Rookies program for ages 6–7, Rock 101 for ages 8–13, the Performance program for ages 8–18, a Songwriting program for ages 12 and over, and a Recording & Production program for ages 12 and over, along with an Adult Program for ages 18 and over. Additional opportunities include the House Band for ages 18 and under and the AllStars program for ages 17 and under.
