U Summer at Lakepointe is a church-based summer program that runs on multiple dates throughout the summer. The program includes separate sessions scheduled for different grade levels and for those with special needs.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Sessions offered on specific dates from May through August for different grade and age groups
In an old bait house more than 40 years ago, 7 dedicated families started Lakepointe Church. Lakepointe is one church in two languages meeting in multiple locations, with 8 DFW locations and programs for all ages. The church’s mission is stated as a movement for all people to Know God, Live Free, and Change the World for God's Glory. Lakepointe has a School of Ministry to train the next generation of church leaders.
Josh Howerton is the Senior Pastor of Lakepointe Church, a multisite and multilingual church with 8 campuses in Dallas, Texas. Lakepointe Church was founded through a love for Christ and a goal of serving the community, and it supports over 40 local, 57 national, and 20 international partners.
