TLC Kids Way

TLC Kids Way includes Bible lessons, field trips, skating, bowling, movies, visits to a nature center, water play including swimming, color wars, science experiments, and time for children to play. The program also includes tutoring in math and reading, as well as time for children to have a snack and do some homework.

• Schedule: Summer camp during TLCA summer break, preschool and care options Monday–Friday with daytime and after-school hours

Caregivers at TLC Kids Way receive staff training as required by Texas Minimum Standards and are described as dedicated to enriching children’s lives. The stated goal of the program is to build a strong academic foundation and develop necessary life skills, with activities aimed at physical, social, emotional, creative, and intellectual development in a safe and loving environment. TLC Kids Way states that it seeks to give young children a Christian education through a strong Christian atmosphere and faith-based curriculum to build the leaders of tomorrow. All programs are licensed through Texas Health and Human Services and follow guidelines under the Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers. TLC Kids Way is a ministry that is owned and operated through The Life Church. The program notes that breakfast snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack are served during Summer Camp, and that there is a focus on tutoring in math and reading so that students can retain information they have learned and be ready when school resumes in the fall. The program also states that it is a safe place for children to get a head start on education and social development for the next level.
