The school reports an average student-teacher ratio of 6 to 1, and faculty and staff members are native speakers in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, French, and Russian who bring first-hand cultural experiences to class. All faculty hold bachelor's degrees, and many also hold master's or doctoral degrees in education and other fields.

The International School of San Antonio was founded in 2019 by current CEO, Katia Edrenkine, and opened its doors with five preschool students; within four years, attendance grew by a factor of 10. Its curriculum is accredited by Cognia and LabelFrancÉducation, and it describes itself as San Antonio's Premier Private International School. The school states that it introduces children to rigorous global academic standards within a multicultural environment.

Parents describe the convenience of having language education and preschool in one place and note that children have enjoyed French camps and Chinese immersion programs. Parent comments mention attentive and dedicated teachers and administrators, small class sizes, engaging curriculum, daily updates with photos through an app, and children reading, speaking, and writing in both French and English. Parents also report that their children look forward to school, have become more outgoing and inquisitive, and have made friends at the school.
