About
Wonder Theatre Youth Program gives participants the chance to sing, dance, and act as part of its performing arts education. The program offers professional training through year-long programming.

Wonder Theatre is a nonprofit, live performance theatre devoted to creating opportunities for its surrounding community by providing quality, entertaining, educational, and affordable musical theatre programming for all ages. The youth program is part of Wonder Theatre, which produces five or six main stage musical shows every calendar year, featuring traditional musicals such as Anything Goes and Hello, Dolly!, contemporary productions such as In The Heights and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and adult-oriented musicals such as Avenue Q and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Wonder Theatre uses a live orchestra for each production, and each performer over the age of 18 receives a small stipend for their work. Wonder Theatre is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has received numerous Alamo Theatre Arts Council Globe Awards in areas including Direction, Lead Actor/Actress, Supporting Actor/Actress, Sound Design, Scene Design, Choreography, Music Direction, and People’s Choice Award, and it was voted “Best Community Theatre” by The San Antonio Current in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. The leadership team for the program includes Nathan, Academy Administrator, and Crystal as the media and advertising contact.
