Spring Branch Tennis Association states that its mission is to educate and instruct on the sport of tennis, while encouraging academic success, physical activity, and supporting social-emotional well-being of youth and adult community members. Through inclusive tennis and education programming, mentorship, and community engagement, the organization aims to inspire the next generation of leaders, ensuring that every child, regardless of background, can excel both on and off the court. The program notes a commitment to accessibility, mentorship, and youth development, and it envisions a community where every person, regardless of background, can experience tennis and the life skills it fosters. It aspires to create inclusive programs where all athletes are empowered to reach their goals on and off the court.
The leadership team includes an Executive Team and a Board of Directors. The Executive Team consists of Erinn Murray (Executive Director), Kendall Murray (Director of Tennis), and Jennifer Powell (Education Director). The Board of Directors includes Shirley Luirette (President), William “Bud” Spaar (Secretary), Anett Carroll (Treasurer/Grants), Michael Sepeda (Facilities), Stephen Newman (Board Member), Andrew Enochs (Scholarships), and Evette Bayer.
