Full Day Camps run Tuesday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm, and Half Day Camps run Tuesday through Friday from 9:00am to 12:00pm. A specific 4-day session runs from 08/4/26–08/7/26 with daily hours of 9:00am–3:00pm for Full Day and 9:00am–12:00pm for Half Day. Full day campers receive three hours of instruction each day with emphasis on putting, chipping, bunker play, and full swing, plus course play focusing on course management, strategy, shot selection, and rules and etiquette when available. Half day campers receive three hours of instruction each day with emphasis on putting, chipping, bunker play, and full swing. Three hours of morning instruction cover putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing. Lunch is provided for full day campers each day and is not provided for half day campers.
The camp is co-ed and open to players of all abilities, including junior players just discovering the game, high school players trying to move up on the team, and tournament-level juniors looking to improve tournament results. Camp Director Bryan Gathright has been a teaching professional since 1987, with experience in golf covering more than 45 years, and is listed as one of Golf Magazine’s Lifetime Top 100 Teachers. He has been classified as one of the Top Teachers in Texas by both Golf Digest and Texas Monthly and was selected the Southern Texas PGA Teacher of the Year in 1997, 2000, and 2020. Gathright has coached six players who have gained their PGA Tour Cards, including Notah Begay III, Dorothy Delasin, Jimmy Walker, and Mac Meissner, and has coached over 350 high school golfers who have gone on to play at 84 different four-year universities. During almost 40 years of the tour now known as the Korn Ferry Tour, nine players have shot 59, and Gathright has coached two of them, Mac Meissner in 2023 and Notah Begay in 1998. Coach Bradyn Lipps was a golf professional for nine years, spent over six years at historic Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, and graduated at the top of his class with a degree in Professional Golf Management. Coach Arthur Robinson is a licensed and certified athletic trainer with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education in Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University and has an academic background in sports medicine and manual therapy techniques. The leadership team for this camp includes Camp Director Bryan Gathright and coaches Bradyn Lipps and Arthur Robinson.
