About
Texas East Kids offers gymnastics, Preschool Jungle Gym, Kinder Prep Academy, Cheer Tumbling Classes, classes for cheer squads, and Pre-school Gymnastics, along with Girl’s Gymnastics and Boys Gymnastics. The program also offers Cheer Clinics, Friday Fun Night, an Optional Meet – Rose City Classic hosted by Texas East Gymnastics, and camps during Summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break. Families can also schedule soccer themed parties, ninja themed parties, gymnastics themed parties, or a “build your own” party theme.

Girl’s Gymnastics includes girls ages 5 and up who participate in a progressive gymnastics program with a “Level System” based on skill mastery and training on all four Olympic events (vault, bars, beam, and floor) plus trampoline. Boys Gymnastics features the six men’s Olympic events (vault, parallel bars, pommel horse, still rings, floor exercise, and high bar) plus trampoline and related activities. The Preschool Jungle Gym is specifically developed for children ages 2–4, and the preschool setting uses smaller sized equipment and a specialized setting. Kinder Prep Academy is based on child development research and involves gymnastics, motor skill development, and classroom time to prepare every child for success in kindergarten. Cheer Tumbling Classes are offered for girls and boys ages eight and over, and classes for cheer squads are available upon request.
Cheer Clinics are scheduled on February 7 and February 28 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, and Friday Fun Night is scheduled on February 20 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The Optional Meet – Rose City Classic hosted by Texas East Gymnastics is scheduled March 6–March 8, and the gym is closed for classes during Spring Break from March 9–March 14.
Texas East Kids states that it is here to develop children’s love for movement through fun activities and sports. The program began with gymnastics 50 years ago and is led by second-generation owners Martin and Stacy Parsley and Marlynne Parsley Finch. The gymnasts from this program compete in the USA Gymnastics Federation, which is the governing body of International Gymnastics Competition. The program reports having one of the most successful teams in Texas with many State and Regional Champions, National Qualifiers, a Pre-Elite National Team Member, and an Elite gymnast who competed in the Championships of the USA.
