Youth Art Classes introduces kids to visual arts through activities connected with the Ellis County Art Association. The program is part of a broader set of offerings that also includes a Youth Art Show and upcoming art classes for adults. Classes are linked with a self-service gallery where artists can display and sell their work and keep 100% of the sales.
• Schedule: Gallery hours are weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
The Youth Art Classes are connected with the Ellis County Art Association, whose mission is to promote the appreciation and educational instruction of the visual arts in Ellis County. The association collaborates with the Hamilton Gallery at Garden Valley, which showcases local art and culture and is exclusive to Ellis County Art Association members for displaying art. Membership in the association is free, and the gallery operates as a platform for direct sales and artist support, encouraging direct interaction between artists and buyers. The Ellis County Art Association also participates in community events such as the Hachie Gras 2026 Mardi Gras parade in Waxahachie, where proceeds go directly to help nonprofit organizations in their missions.
