Diamond Athletics offers baseball teams, softball teams, batting cages, and dance classes in jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. The program also includes dance, cheerleading, tumbling, and stunt competition teams. Athletes train in spaces that include indoor batting cages, outdoor fields, a large trampoline, a tumbling floor, a giant gym, strength training areas, a spring floor, an air track, boulders, and combined gym and field areas.

Diamond Athletics began in 2010 and officially opened in Fall 2012, and it is also described as founded in 2012 by Nick and Kelli Santos. Nick and Kelli are the founders of Diamond Athletics, with Nick Santos serving as Founder and Director of the Baseball Program and Kelli Talley Santos serving as Founder and Dance/Cheer Director. Josh Newman is the Owner and Director of the Softball Program. Josh Newman earned his BS in Education from Baylor University in 2004 and was part of the NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year in 2009. Nick Santos holds a Masters of Education in Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, was an All-American Independent selection at Dallas Baptist University, was ranked as one of the toughest to strike out in Division I, was an All-American at Cisco College, and was a 5-A All-State Selection at Grand Prairie High School. Kelli Talley Santos holds a Master of Arts in Performance Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications from Dallas Baptist University, received the Christian Leadership scholarship at Dallas Baptist University, received college scholarships in dance and cheerleading, earned MVP and the Timothy Leadership Awards at DBU, and is an AACCA Certified coach.

Kelli’s experience includes being a Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancer, a Texas Rangers Six Shooter and choreographer, appearing as a cheerleader in NBC’s Friday Night Lights TV series, performing with Creed, Jessica Simpson, and Reba McEntire, and serving as a member and choreographer for the USA Flight Crew. The Diamond Athletics mission states that it is a premier athletic training organization dedicated to providing athletes with cutting-edge training programs, equipment, and resources to help develop them for the next level, and that its mission is to uplift athletes to reach their full potential through positive reinforcement and clear direction that motivates them to be their best. The program describes its coaching style as “coaching their hearts, not just their skills,” and notes that it offers state-of-the-art facilities, a supportive, family-oriented environment, and programs described as designed to foster confidence, discipline, and excellence. Diamond Athletics states that it guides students toward collegiate and professional opportunities, supports all ages and skill levels, serves as a place for the whole family, and offers opportunities for college recruiting across all sports, with many former students recruited for college athletics across the nation.

One parent testimonial states, “We are so thankful for our family at diamond athletics! They have helped filled a part of my children's lives that is christ led, and goes beyond athletics. The whole experience has really impacted our lives. thankful.” Kelli recently participated as a pro in Dancing with the Waco Stars, a fundraiser for the Family Abuse Center.
