Huntley Meadows Park Programs and Activities offers options such as Wetland at Dusk Walk, Twilight Boardwalk Stroll, Birding for Beginners, Daring Dragonflies, and Bat Night. The program also includes birdwatching, birthday parties, classes and camps, events in the park, field trips, on-your-own activities, and programs focused on plants and wildlife and scouts.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: The Norma Hoffman Visitor Center is open from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays except Tuesdays, and noon to 5 p.m. on weekends.
• Price: There is a fee for groups of 12 or more. Group pass: $30 for up to 60 people; for groups beyond 60, $30 for the initial 60 and $1 per additional person.

The program is involved with the Fairfax County Park Foundation, Friends of Huntley Meadows, the Mastenbrook Volunteer Matching Fund Grant Program, and Park Volunteer Teams. Program information notes that some of the best wildlife watching in the Washington metropolitan area is at Huntley Meadows Park and that the park is home to a nationally significant historic house. Rules for activities include no fishing or netting, dogs allowed only on specific trails with no dogs on the boardwalk, bikes and similar wheeled equipment restricted to the South Kings Hwy hike-bike trail, and no amplified sound in the park.
