MVCCT Summer Camp

MVCCT Summer Camp focuses on theatre arts, including Musical Theatre, Acting, singing, dancing, and performing. Campers take part in writing their own original script that includes their favorite songs and characters, along with silly games and imaginative escapades. Every day at MVCCT Summer Camp includes singing, dancing, acting, and performing.

• Schedule: Morning (AM) Session 9am–12 noon, Afternoon (PM) Session 1pm–4pm, and All Day 9am–4pm; Session #3 runs July 20–July 31, Session #4 runs August 3–August 14, Session #5 runs August 17–August 21, plus MVCCT’s 4-Week Teen Intensive Summer Production Camp

MVCCT has been bringing quality arts education to the community since 1979, with a mission to educate and develop young artists through theatre arts and creative play. Morning, Afternoon, and All-Day camp options are available, with the AM Session focused on Musical Theatre and the PM Session focused on Acting, and NEW for 2026, the Morning Session and All-Day Camp start at 9am instead of 9:30am. MVCCT’s Teen Summer Production Camp presents The Addams Family Musical young@part, the authorized 60-minute edition of the Broadway musical for youth theatres, in a smaller-scale production that is the culmination of MVCCT’s 4-Week Teen Intensive Summer Production Camp; the performance is approximately 80 minutes with one intermission, and concessions are sold at intermission.

The MVCCT leadership team includes Managing Director Becca Vourvoulas, Office Manager Kimberly Hughey, Co-Presidents Josh Golden and Kate Offringa, Treasurer Chip Russell, Secretary Kathryn Miksad, and board members Bethany Weinstein, Laura Marshall, Dana Oliver, Bill Murray, Kelly Gerstenberg, Rebecca Kokinda, Nolan Welle, Brian Nienaber, Jennifer Walpole, and Debi Carroll. Staff and board backgrounds include professional performance, choreography, theatre teaching, theatre arts training, accounting and finance, trade association leadership, marketing and creative direction, education and professional development, non-profit museum design and project management, senior education and talent development, political research, preschool teaching, pastry work, non-profit management, and meeting, conference, and event management. MVCCT brings exceptional productions to the community and offers training and education to every child who steps on their stage, participates in workshops, or attends summer camp, and its interactive first-person reenactment program Voices of History, created and produced by Josh Golden as an actor/historian, has toured schools throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

MVCCT is sponsored in part by unnamed sponsors and invites its extended family to join as Friends of MVCCT to support the upcoming season. Friends of MVCCT receive their name listed in every program and displayed in the lobby throughout the season, along with a Friends of MVCCT car magnet, and their gift is tax-deductible and supports MVCCT’s mission. MVCCT also offers season sponsorships for businesses, which are described as more than advertising and as a warm, trusted endorsement that positions a business in front of the community.
