Wolfbane NYC Teaching Initiative is part of Wolfbane Productions’ NYC Teaching Initiative, where local students, actors, and technicians take part in masterclasses led by working NYC artists. The program is connected to Wolfbane Productions, a professional performing arts and community enrichment organization dedicated to creating immersive theatre experiences that inspire, educate, and connect. It is supported in part by sponsors and patronage, which keeps class fees at a low cost.

Wolfbane Productions is a nonprofit Arts and Civic organization that began in 2008 and is headquartered in historic Appomattox. The organization is committed to making high-quality entertainment and arts education accessible to all, regardless of geography, background, or economic status. Wolfbane embodies values, policies, and practices that state that all people are welcome, included, and accepted. Its mission is to bring award-winning professional theater, premium arts education, and community driven advocacy programs to Central Virginia. Wolfbane is a 501c3 committed to empowering the community through programming in leadership, diversity, and education. Productions are carefully crafted and designed to target modern audiences, including many people who have never been exposed to live theatre, and the organization states that its goal is to break the stigma in its area that theatre is unapproachable, too expensive, and outdated. The leadership team includes Dustin Chase Williams (Founding Artistic Director), Ken Arpino (Executive Director), Christine Yepsen (Technical Director and House Manager), Karyn Heisig (Company Manager), and Ellee Evans (Marketing & Education). Behind every Wolfbane production, the organization identifies the story as its constant core value, and through innovative storytelling and dynamic programming, it brings live entertainment to Central Virginia and beyond.
