Ascanius: The Youth Classics Institute offers presentations about resources and ideas for the youngest learners. The program provides “Let’s Learn Latin: Pittsburgh” for elementary and middle school teachers. It also offers “The Shooting Star,” an e-newsletter of lessons and activities to bring Latin, mythology, and Roman culture alive, along with “eTogaTrek,” an online video series for elementary and middle school students.

The program features new grant recipients and continuing grant opportunities for teachers. It offers the Rudolph Masciantonio “Classics for All” Grant for events, programs, and projects, as well as a grant for professional development for elementary and middle school teachers to support continuing education. Families and teachers can also sign up for a newsletter mailing list.
