The mission of Majest Martial Arts states that traditional martial arts and traditional TaeKwonDo training are viewed as preparation for the responsibilities of citizenship, and it encourages students to use their martial arts knowledge and morals to improve communities through leadership, public service, mentoring, and enriching their personal and professional lives. The program lists foundation principles that include Honor, Respect, Courtesy, Integrity, Community, Strength, Concentration, Courage, Discipline, Confidence, and Perseverance. It also states that Majest Martial Arts strives to be an active contributor to communities, both inside the dojang and out, and that it actively supports local school systems, charity activities, and community functions.
Staff members at Majest Martial Arts hold Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees in various fields of study. All Masters are World Taekwondo (WT) certified, and among them are World Taekwondo Champions, members of the Korean National Demonstration Team, and members of the K-Tigers professional TaeKwonDo team. All instructors are qualified to teach a curriculum that is endorsed by World Taekwondo (WT), the governing body of Olympic TaeKwonDo. The program states that its curriculum is exciting and student-driven, that its Masters and instructors are dedicated and passionate about students’ education and physical and emotional well-being, and that successful students often receive letters of recommendation for college and job applications. It also states confidence that Majest Martial Arts is one of the best TaeKwonDo programs in the nation and that students experience a quality of instruction that is described as unparalleled while growing in ability, confidence, leadership, and fitness and having fun.
Parent testimonials describe the after school program and summer camp as a place where staff are friendly and where one child feels it is a “second home.” Other testimonials describe changes in balance, moves, and focus after a year of classes and practice, and mention instructors as sweet, dedicated, funny, and respectful. One parent calls it the “best aftercare place in the area” and “best Taekwondo club” for gaining self-confidence, discipline, and respect, and mentions the possibility of becoming a national champion in poomse competition. Another parent reports that over three years, their children have learned discipline, respect, focus, and confidence, are not afraid of hard work, and have made close friends.
