Tuckaway-Innsbrook offers activities such as computer access, bike riding, basketball, swimming, and swimming lessons. Children have time to run and play, including chances to run, climb, swim, and play in different outdoor areas. The program uses large playgrounds and a multi-purpose hard-top play area for these activities.

Tuckaway-Innsbrook has a modern building design with two buildings, one for younger children and one for school age children, and all children are separated into different classrooms by age. Preschool classrooms include supervised, ongoing computer access. The playgrounds include a large multi-purpose hard-top play area built for bike riding or basketball and to provide even footing for new walkers, as well as private, large, in-ground swimming pools that are sectioned off by swimming ability and age. Swimming pools are carefully supervised by teachers and certified lifeguards, and swimming lessons are provided at no additional charge. The program offers family-style dining with warm, home-cooked meals prepared in its own kitchen, with menus prepared according to USDA guidelines. Tuckaway Child Development began in 1971 and has grown to a family of 7 schools in the Richmond area, and Tuckaway-Innsbrook is led by Director Krystal Allen. Tuckaway uses nationally recognized Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) teaching methods.
