Youth and Teen Art Camps and Classes include hands-on activities such as 3D Design, Furniture Construction, Batik Dyeing, Wreath Making, Photography, Jewelry Design, ceramics, and watercolor classes. The program also offers Youth and Teen Art Classes that cover visual arts projects in different media.
• Ages: 13–17 years old
• Schedule: Art Night sessions on January 15, 2026, March 19, 2026, and May 14, 2026, each from 6–8pm, with additional arts programming during the Culture Encounters International Dance Festival on August 15 from 11am–5pm
• Price: Registration is open for art classes with select classes starting at $25, with some classes as low as $25, and tickets for certain performances priced at $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $25 for the Good Shot Judy performance
The Cultural Arts Center offers over a dozen classes in ceramics, music, literary arts, and visual arts for teens ages 13–17, and art classes are offered for all levels. The Center is home to four art galleries that showcase regional and international talent and includes the Atack Family Gift Shop, which sells handcrafted jewelry by local artists, art prints, and giftware. Admission to The Cultural Arts Center is free, and animals permitted at the Center must be service animals, and gift cards can be used to purchase concert tickets, art, and items from the gift shop.
Opening Minds through Art (OMA), described as an award-winning, evidence-based, intergenerational art-making program for people with dementia and their caregivers, is offered at The Cultural Arts Center. Culture Encounters presents an International Dance Festival featuring 18 cultures, live performances, free dance classes, food, vendors, and a kids station.
The leadership team connected with programming at The Cultural Arts Center includes President K Alferio, Camp Director and ArtReach Coordinator Jen Brinkley, Visual Arts Manager Kitty Tillman, Arts Education Manager Rosalind Clark, ArtsReach Manager Jen De Cerff, and Development Director Amy Holland, who holds the CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) credential.
