Camp William B. Snyder is a premier camping location within the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America that has been open to Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturers, and community organizations since 2006. Online reservations are available for campsites, cabins, and additional facility rentals, and unit, district, and council events can reserve space on a rolling schedule.
• Schedule: The Camp Snyder Store has posted hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., is closed on Monday and Sunday, and lists Friday and Saturday hours on Google; the camp office is available by phone or email Monday through Friday and is open in person on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The facility has been open to Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturers, and community organizations since 2006. Unit reservations may register on a rolling schedule 8 months in advance, district events 10 months in advance, and council events 12 months in advance. Early 2026 Wilderness First Aid training is available from January through May. The leadership team includes Eric Smith as Camp Director and Stephanie Messenger as Office Manager.
