About

Thrive Virginia Youth Programs offers domestic violence and sexual assault intervention and prevention, supportive advocacy services to survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual violence, and a 24 hour hotline. The program provides children's counseling, summer day camp, a feeding program for children who live or attend school in King William County or King and Queen County, and meal bags with easy to prepare meals to children during extended school breaks. It also offers domestic violence and sexual assault prevention education in schools and the community, educational outreach through the Project Discovery curriculum for students in grades 9–12 in Charles City County and King and Queen County, and resources to help students transition to post-secondary education.

Thrive Virginia Youth Programs offers support to families during pregnancy and the first few years of a child's life, including home visits to promote positive parenting and improve childhood outcomes. The program provides family coaching through a whole family approach, with Family Coaches working with families to solve problems, access resources, and sharpen existing skills. It also offers utility arrears assistance, distribution of food gift cards during COVID-19, financial and housing education and counseling, coaching with health resources and basic needs, and connections to employment training and opportunities.

The program includes court advocacy, supportive counseling, safety planning, and children's counseling. Thrive Virginia employs a whole-family approach that identifies the risk factors that undermine a family's overall well-being and focuses on early childhood development, access to post-secondary education opportunities, economic asset growth, optimal health and well-being, and social capital.
