About
Timberlake Child Development Center offers activities such as arts and crafts, weekly theme activities, and group games. • Ages: 0–11 years old

The Infant & Toddler program, called Avonlea’s Angels, serves children ages 6 weeks to 24 months, the Preschool-Age Program serves children ages 2–5, and the Before & After School Care program serves children in grades K–6. Summer Camp is designed for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade, and children are divided into age groups for camp activities.
The program uses the Procare Parent App for communication, contactless check-in and pick-up using GPS-enabled technology or QR codes, sharing milestones, photos, and videos, and connecting activities to state standards. The mission of the Child Development Center at Timberlake is to provide a loving Christian environment where children learn and grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially. The Infant & Toddler program staff have training, education, and/or years of experience working with children. Kelly Shepherd received an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and is pursuing a B.S. from Liberty University, and Jaime Lewis has earned a master's degree and is pursuing a doctorate. The leadership team includes Executive Director Christina Tilley, Preschool Director Kelly Shepherd, and Infant Toddler Program Director Jaime Lewis.
The Before & After School Care program follows the Campbell and Bedford County school calendars. A Timberlake bus picks up children at New London Elementary in Bedford County, and Campbell County buses pick up and drop off children who attend Leesville Road Elementary, Tomahawk Elementary, and Brookville Middle School. Timberlake's Child Development Center participates in Kroger's fundraising program using CDC number 92797 to raise funds for a Financial Assistance Fund. The Fillin’ Station, Timberlake’s food pantry, is an authorized USDA distribution point and part of the Feeding America network.
