YMCA of Central Virginia Youth Programs

YMCA of Central Virginia Youth Programs offers activities such as swim lessons, water aerobics, family swim times, group fitness classes, yoga, and high-intensity interval training. The program also includes Child Watch, summer programs, preschool, before and after-school care, youth sports, hiking and outdoor adventures, field trips, and low-impact exercise classes. Families have access to three branches that feature family and lap pools, advanced fitness equipment, and clean, welcoming facilities.

The mission of YMCA of Central Virginia Youth Programs is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The program is here for the Central Virginia community, families, and individuals through fitness and wellness programs. Additional features include the YMCA360 App for virtual fitness, Nationwide Membership, family activities and events, a wide variety of healthy living programs, community enrichment, supportive staff, and Child Watch as a free service for those with a YMCA of Central Virginia Family membership. One parent shared, “So just as the years went on, there was always something there for us.” Another member said, “You get more bang for your buck than you would any other gym.” A third member said, “I feel safe, I just feel comfortable, I feel like I’m home when I come here.”
