Colonial Virginia Council Scouting Programs

Colonial Virginia Council Scouting Programs include skill building, camping programs, STEM activities, and community service opportunities. The programs also feature special events such as Dinosaur Day Camp, the Scout Strong 5k, and the Williamsburg Expo, which includes 12 local Scout units, fun activities, food trucks, and a 50/50 raffle. Dinosaur Day Camp is open to all boys and girls entering grades 1–5.

• Schedule: Scout Shop open Tuesday–Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings; office open Tuesday–Friday afternoons

Colonial Virginia Council Scouting Programs are part of a nonprofit organization serving youth and families across southeastern Virginia. The mission of these Scouting programs is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The council leadership includes Michael Murawski for the Colonial Virginia Council and Historic Triangle, Staff Advisor Josh Jones-St. Clair, and Wes Goodman Sr. for Monitor-Merrimac. The council serves Virginia’s Peninsula and Southside, including families in Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, Suffolk, Williamsburg, Franklin, Emporia, and surrounding counties.
