Colonial Virginia Council, Scouting America Youth Programs include Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouting, and Exploring. Cub Scouting includes uniforms, handbooks, and advancement items that can be obtained through the Scout Shop. Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouting, and Exploring participants can also use the Scout Shop to get uniforms, handbooks, merit badges, and other program materials.

• Schedule: Scout Shop and Scout Store open Tuesday–Friday 10 am–5 pm, Saturday 10 am–2 pm; office and service center generally open weekdays during daytime hours

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling the timeless values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The Colonial Virginia Council, Scouting America serves youth in Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, Smithfield, Suffolk, Surry, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Emporia, Franklin, Lawrenceville, and the counties of Brunswick, James City, Gloucester, Greensville, Isle of Wight, Mathews, Southampton, and Sussex. The council is described as the largest youth organization for boys and girls on the Peninsula and in the Southside of Virginia. Cub Scouting is offered for youth in grades K to 5, Scouts BSA is offered for boys and girls ages 11–17, Venturing and Sea Scouting are coed programs for ages 14–20, and Exploring is offered for boys and girls ages 10–20.
