Lake Fairfax Park Classes and Camps

Lake Fairfax Park Classes and Camps offers activities that include Sensory Friendly Time at The Water Mine at Lake Fairfax Park, Campfire Fridays, Intro to Kayaking, birdwatching, Fishing On Your Own, and programs focused on plants and wildlife. The program also includes options connected to Scouts, boating and marina access, camping, picnics, a skate and inline skate park, and use of The Water Mine family water park with tubing on the Rattlesnake Lazy River, a tot pool at Tenderfoot Pond, slides, tunnels, and interactive play features designed for young children. Families can also make use of boat rentals, athletic fields, a playground, trails, an inline skate park, a skatepark, and a campground as part of the broader classes, camps, and special events offered at Lake Fairfax.

• Schedule: The Water Mine is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day; the campground, picnic areas, playground, trails, and skatepark are open year-round.

John Britz serves as the Park Manager for Lake Fairfax Park. Fishing in the lake requires a Virginia State fishing license, and sailboats, gasoline and electric-powered boats, and swimming are prohibited in the lake.
