Lil’ Kickers Soccer for Kids is first and foremost a child development program with a mission that focuses on helping children build strong physical, social, cognitive, and emotional skills that will help them be successful on and off the soccer field. The curriculum is developed using renowned child development theory, and Lil’ Kickers coaches are trained in child development theory and incorporate a developmental perspective when approaching children. Classes are tailored to specific ages and can accommodate most children, and classes are transformed into a world created just for each child with a balanced and creative approach to coaching, well trained coaches, and lots of cheering, high fives, positive encouragement, and high energy.

SCOR maintains a 1:10 coach-to-child ratio and does not provide one-to-one support, with specific ratios by class: Bunnies classes have a 15:1 ratio with parents on the field, Thumpers and Cottontails classes each have a 12:1 ratio with parents on the field, Hoppers and Jackrabbits classes each have a 7:1 ratio, and Big Feet classes have a 12:1 ratio. SCOR staff will not accept aggressive, inappropriate, bullying, or rude behaviors from students, and dismissal from the class may be given for aggressive or harmful or continually distracting behavior. As a general policy there are no refunds, with case-by-case exceptions for injury or if the class is absolutely not the right fit, and jerseys may not be turned back in to trade for another size, though another jersey may be purchased for $20. The program notes “Lil’ Kickers, a strong foundation … for life” and partners with SCOR Campus through its listed community involvement.
