Virginia Repertory Theatre Summer Camps are part of one of the largest performing arts organizations in Central Virginia. Virginia Repertory Theatre is a regional professional theater that is a member of Theatre Communications Group (TCG), National New Play Network (NNPN), and the Richmond Performing Arts Alliance (RPAA). Virginia Rep recently celebrated the 70th anniversary of its founding in Hanover County in 1953 as Barksdale Theatre, and in 2012 Barksdale Theatre and Theatre IV merged to form Virginia Rep. The organization’s mission is to entertain, challenge and uplift its communities through the power of live theatre.
