Richmond United Soccer Programs is part of a club formed when Richmond Strikers and Richmond Kickers Youth joined together as one organization known as Richmond United. The club reports 75+ years of successful youth soccer development and notes “75 years, 10,000 members, 10 tournament weekends.” The program follows a player-centric approach, stating that every decision is driven by what best supports each player’s development. The Technical Director for U9–U12 is Erwan Le Crom. The club’s mission statement is “To elevate our players and community, enrich families, and deliver unparalleled experiences.” Richmond United lists Nike as an official partner and identifies its highest tier of partnership as Impact Partners. Richmond United Alumni Nick Simmonds was selected third overall in the MLS Draft by FC Dallas, and Richmond United players and alumni have earned National Team call-ups and camp invitations. The club also offers access to the RU Soccer Parenting Resource Center.
Richmond United and Chesterfield County announced a long-term lease agreement at Mary B. Stratton Park. Richmond United Announces 2025-26 Impact Partners: Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, Woodfin, Virginia Credit Union, and Ourisman Toyota of Richmond. The Rise Up Fund is Richmond United’s annual campaign to make soccer accessible for all children in the community, and every dollar raised provides financial assistance for players who need it most.
