SOAR365’s Summer Camp at Camp Baker has a low camper-to-staff ratio and nurses available for medical assistance. SOAR365 is a Virginia non-profit created in 1954, and Summer Camp at Camp Baker has been running since the 1950s. For 71 years, SOAR365 has been helping individuals with disabilities throughout Central Virginia and their families. The mission of SOAR365 is creating life-fulfilling opportunities for individuals with disabilities and building a world where people with disabilities play, work, socialize, and thrive as part of their local community. SOAR365’s Summer Camp at Camp Baker is an award-winning program recognized across Virginia and is fully accredited by the American Camp Association. One parent said, “Thank you for having such a wonderful camp for families to send their children to.” Another parent described staff as helpful and resourceful in navigating the system and understanding opportunities.
