Visual Arts Center of Richmond Classes and Camps offers visual and creative arts classes in clay, wood, fiber, painting, photography, printmaking, glass, metal, drawing, writing, decorative arts, and other visual media. The program also offers Second Friday classes, with different Second Friday classes available each month.

• Schedule: Open daily 9am–9pm; registration opens at 9am on Mondays the week of every Second Friday of the month
• Price: Second Friday classes are only $15.
The Visual Arts Center of Richmond has helped adults and children explore their creativity and make art since 1963 and was founded in Church Hill as the Hand Workshop. Each year, the organization offers more than 1,600 visual and creative arts classes taught by more than 250 instructors. Each year, it touches the lives of more than 50,000 people through classes, exhibitions, community programs, camps, and special events, and offers hundreds of people free access to art classes through community and school partnerships. The Visual Arts Center of Richmond is a nonprofit organization whose mission statement is, “We believe in art for everyone, creativity for life.” Each year, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond gives two major awards to people in its creative community.
