About
Youth Programs at YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas offers a before and after school program, Parents Night Out, swim lessons, summer camp, overnight camp, and sports camps. Children can take part in activities such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, and water aerobics. Parents Night Out takes place every third Friday of the month and is free for YMCA members.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Spring Program Registration for 2026 starts on February 2 for members and on February 15 for non-members
• Price: Parents Night Out is free for YMCA members.
The mission of the Y is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas strengthens communities through a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas has been awarded Praesidium Accreditation®, which is described as the highest honor for child abuse prevention practices by Praesidium. Membership, programs, services, and facilities are available regardless of a family or individual’s ability to pay the standard membership and program fees. This location has 24-Hour Access.
