About

Moonlit Wings Productions – Kids Classes & Camps offers acting classes and camps, school play productions, and film/TV and acting classes. The program includes performing arts camps and classes and uses play-based learning for science, math, history, and language arts.

• Price: The Park Authority sold out performances of the High School Musical, On Stage (Summer 2008) production, which the community praised for its inexpensive ticket price.

Founded by Executive Producer and Artistic Director Walid Chaya in 2008, Moonlit Wings Productions creates colorful content for the stage and screen and educational programs that champion multicultural, gender-diverse, and musical stories. Its educational division produces performing arts classes and camps for all ages, available online and in multiple regions, and offers modern and creative curriculums for acting and technical production. Programs are award-winning acting programs, and Moonlit Wings is a leading production company and producer of performing arts camps and classes, with productions that have won awards worldwide. These programs are two-time winners of Washington Family Magazine’s “Best Arts Program” and “Best Children’s Theatre & Drama Instruction” in the 2020 “Best for Families” contest. Services are led by award-winning creatives working in the entertainment industry across Los Angeles, New York City, and the greater Washington, DC area.

Moonlit Wings Productions also offers full production services for theater, film, television, and new media, and runs SUPERnova Casting, an in-house casting division used to book authentic performers from the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. SUPERnova Casting provides affordable rates with quick turnaround for casting services, and it is not an agency and does not represent actors, but instead casts actors and scouts talent for productions. Community involvement has included producing a sold-out High School Musical, On Stage (Summer 2008) production with support from the Park Authority and obtaining props and costumes from local high schools.

Testimonials from producers, directors, program supervisors, and parents describe Moonlit Wings Productions and Walid Chaya as professional, reliable, and well-organized, with strong leadership, creative vision, and camps and classes that have been well received by children, campers, and their families. Parents of performing arts summer camp participants report that staff were responsible, talented, and fun, that the camps were very well organized, and that their children had fantastic experiences, learned many new things, and that impressive productions were accomplished in a short time.
