• Schedule: J-Club kids’ area is open Monday–Thursday 8:30A–1P and 4:30–8:30P; Friday 8:30A–1P and 4:30–8:00P; Saturday 8A–12P; Sunday 9A–12P
Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center Youth Programs operate within a facility that includes a 50-meter competition pool with a movable bulkhead, a 25-yard recreation pool, and a warm-water wellness pool. The recreation pool has a zero-depth entry kids’ area with a mushroom and water features, and the wellness pool has a bench area with jets. The program uses a full-size basketball court that can be divided into two volleyball courts, as well as a J-Club kids’ area for children ages 10 weeks to 12 years old and a multi-purpose room for ages 6–12 years. Certified group exercise instructors lead classes, and personal training is available. The JRSSC Group Exercise Program is an all-inclusive wellness program, with specialty class Move It for seniors and those transitioning back into fitness, and signature class Total Strength. All classes on the Open Group Exercise Schedule are free and open to members age 14 and above, and a Junior Fitness program is available for 11–15-year-olds to use equipment (except free weights) after passing the class. J-Club offers supervised, TV-free playtime, and facility safety policies include specific age restrictions for J-Club, the basketball court, fitness floor, group exercise, and pool. Children under 13 must be supervised at all times in the cafe seating area. Appropriate fitness attire is appreciated, and a water bottle and towel are suggested for group exercise classes; in J-Club, no food or snacks are allowed, but a bottle of water or a sippy cup with a secure lid is allowed, and diapers must be changed by a parent. The program states the mission, “We deliver a fun and welcoming fitness environment to help you lead your best life,” and the facility has been voted Best Recreation Facility.
