Outdoor Adventure Experiences

Outdoor Adventure Experiences offers guided outdoor trips that include raft float trips, stand up paddle boarding, tube rental, paddle board kayaking, wild caving, river tubing, water caving trips, team building, summer adventure day camps, swimming hole trips, and river play trips. Almost all trips are guided and must be reserved in advance so a guide can be scheduled. Trips must be led by the owner of the business, Derek Young.

• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Price: Half-Day Trips (4 Hours): $35.00 per-person, with a $140.00 minimum trip price. Six Hour Trips: $40.00 per-person, with a $160.00 minimum trip price. There is an additional $10 per-person charge for water cave trips. Transportation for groups from the meeting location to the activity site and back is available for an additional $15 per-person for drives up to 90 minutes (4 person minimum and 10 person maximum per-van). Return transportation for clients back to their vehicles after river trips is provided for free.

Outdoor Adventure Experiences was incorporated in 1996. The program offers year-round guided adventure recreation in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. For cave trips, the program provides coveralls, gloves, and knee pads, and for cool weather river trips or water caving trips, it provides neoprene wetsuits, gloves, and socks. All 4 hour trips must start by 9:00 am except on weekends, and all 6 hour trips must start by 7:00 am except on weekends. Group size must be limited to 8 participants to receive the special Customer Appreciation Discount Rate that is in effect from December 1st, 2024 to December 31st, 2025, and trips must be led by the business owner to receive the listed discount prices.
