About
ADAMS Youth & Children Programs are part of the broader ADAMS Center services that include Youth & Children, Education, and other departments. The programs operate within a community that also features Qahwa Cafe, which is described as a warm corner of connection where coffee meets conversation and community blossoms in every cup. Individuals coming to pray at ADAMS Center facilities are encouraged to bring their own prayer mats, as ADAMS will not be providing paper prayer mats.
• Price: Fee for one class is $30, for two classes is $50, and for unlimited classes per family, it is $100.
Over the past four decades, the ADAMS Center has grown into one of the largest Muslim communities in the Washington, D.C. area and serves Northern Virginia through prayer, education, and community. The ADAMS Center serves more than 30,000 Muslims each year across 6 branches in the Washington, DC area, including the areas of Sterling, Ashburn, Centerville, Chantilly, Gainesville, Great Falls, Herndon, Leesburg, McLean, and Reston in Northern Virginia. ADAMS Youth & Children Programs are part of a not-for-profit organization recognized as tax-exempt under U.S. Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). The organization is governed by a Board of Trustees with a focus on vision, accountability, and stewardship, and is powered by departments that include Youth & Children alongside the Office of the Imams, Education, Zakat, Social Services, Marriage Services, Operations, and Marketing, with branch operating committees and volunteer-led teams overseeing daily branch operations. Health and safety protocols state that masks are optional for all indoor activities, including prayer services, schools, lectures, recreational activities, and public events, and that social distancing measures during prayers and indoor activities have been removed. The ADAMS mission states a dedication to uplifting every member of the community through services that care for the heart, mind, and soul, with a vision of a community that thrives with dignity, strength, and purpose, where compassion inspires action and every individual can reach their fullest potential.
