Marine Toys for Tots

Marine Toys for Tots runs a Holiday Program, Foster Care Program, Native American Program, Youth Ambassador Program, Literacy Program, and Disaster Relief and Recovery Program. The program includes toy collection campaigns, toy distribution, and the delivery of toys and age-appropriate books to children in need.

Programs

• Holiday Program — The program provides hope and emotional support to economically disadvantaged children throughout the year.
• Foster Care Program — Supports foster care children with something tangible to take with them as they move, plus tools and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
• Native American Program — Benefits Native American children and provides toys and books to participating reservations.
• Youth Ambassador Program — Spotlights children helping children and engages community members on behalf of Toys for Tots.
• Literacy Program — Delivers age appropriate books to children in need to help break the cycle of poverty.
• Disaster Relief and Recovery Program — Supports children and families impacted by natural disasters with comfort, hope, emotional relief, toys, books, and essential resources.

Since 1947, Toys for Tots has distributed 732 million toys to 325 million children. Local campaigns are conducted annually in over 800 communities across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands, and the program works with Marine Corps League Detachments, local community organizations, local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies.
