Virginia Aquarium Youth & Family Programs include experiences such as the Earth Matters exhibit, which is a thought-provoking and fully interactive exhibit designed for families of all ages. Families can also visit Dropping Science, which presents irregular facts about the underwater world and explains some of the ways poop plays a role in marine ecology. Additional options include Behind-the-Scenes Tours, Boat Tours to search for marine mammals and other wildlife, and Sensory Friendly Morning for families that have members with disabilities to visit in a calm, comfortable, sensory-friendly environment.
• Schedule: Open daily from 9:00am–5:00pm, closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Price: Homeschool Day: Animal Care on January 20 from 10:00am–4:00pm costs $20 for non-member youth, $25 for non-member adults, $7 for member youth, and is free for member adults.
