Airfield 4-H Center Camps & SPIN Clubs offers activities that include sports facilities, nature trails, horse shows, camping, a Challenge Course, shooting, and fishing. The program includes 4-H Summer Camp, Specialty Camps, SPIN Club Music Makers, SPIN Club Marine Science, and field trips.

Airfield 4-H Center Camps & SPIN Clubs is part of 4-H, which is the youth development education program of Virginia Cooperative Extension. Through 4-H, young people are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that emphasize a “learn by doing” philosophy of educational development. Airfield 4-H Center has been serving the Wakefield community and surrounding areas since 1977.
The leadership team includes Center Director Kathy Guindon, Ph.D.; Event Coordinator Mary Vick; Kitchen Manager Crystal Jones; Operations Manager Bubba Barrett; Business Manager JP Consulting, Inc.; and Program Director Joey Patterson. Virginia Cooperative Extension is a partnership of Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and local governments, and is an equal opportunity employer. The center follows AHLA safety standards as well as Virginia mandates for safety.
