Fauquier Community Child Care (FCCC) School-Age Child Care and Summer Camps offers school-year before- and after-school care as well as summer camp options. During the school year, the program operates before school from 6:30–8:15am and after school from 3:30–6:30pm. In the summer, families can choose combined care from 6:30am–6:30pm or a camp-only option from 8:30am–3:30pm.

Fauquier Community Child Care, Inc. is a licensed, non-profit child care program and an equal opportunity provider and employer. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that was established in 1990 with a $10,000 grant from the Department of Social Services and was officially incorporated on July 5, 1991, opening its doors in September under the name of Fauquier Community Child Care, Inc. FCCC is in its 34th year of caring for children in Fauquier County Public Schools and has expanded to 10 sites throughout Fauquier County. The organization serves more than 750 children annually, supporting elementary and middle schools with programs that include summer camp for children and pre-teens, and provides school-age child care for children age 5 (by 9/30/2025 and starting kindergarten school year 2026–2027) through age 13. FCCC can accept middle schoolers, with transportation provided by parents or guardians, and offers summer camp programs for rising kindergarteners through 4th grade, along with a Teen Camp program for 5th graders up through age 14. The program offers sliding scale tuition rates based on a family’s income, and board membership is voluntary and non-compensated.
The mission of Fauquier Community Child Care is to provide an accessible, safe, and nurturing environment in which school-aged children learn, grow, and play to promote the development of the whole child. FCCC supports other providers and services to improve child care for youth and children within child care programs in Fauquier County, and previous and current funders include the PATH Foundation, Northern Piedmont Community Foundation, Encompass Community Supports (formerly Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board), Fauquier County Government, Town of Warrenton Government, PB Mares, and community members. The leadership team includes Kyle Beck, Executive Director; Erica Cataldi, Finance; Jessica Peil, Enrollment; Velvet Robinson, Human Resources; and Crystal-Ann Pierre-Brown and Kaitlin Zalaskus, Programming.
Parent feedback shared with FCCC includes comments about staff being compassionate and interacting with children during pick-up times, and one parent stated they were beyond happy with the program and would refer other parents looking for after-school care. Another parent described feeling peace sending children during the pandemic and said the children were happy and they were impressed with the staff. A third parent thanked the staff at FCCC C. Hunter Ritchie for a start to their daughter’s kindergarten year that balanced structure, positive reinforcement, and a caring attitude, and noted that daily hugs, structure, and careful supervision helped their child feel secure and welcome.
