Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy (SCAA) offers dance classes, theatre classes, private and group music instruction, visual arts classes, fencing classes, and the Art Start program. Students can study instrumental music and voice, participate in group music and ensembles, and take part in orchestra and choir. The program also presents regular performance opportunities through annual recitals and performing dance and music ensembles.

Since 1977, Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy (SCAA) has served its community as a division of Shenandoah University’s Conservatory and now serves more than 700 students each year. The program offers more than 35 different dance classes during the school year, more than 10,000 private music lessons for over 60 instruments during the school year, and more than 25 summer classes in music, theatre, visual art, dance, and other areas, totaling more than 300 courses each year. Art Start is a 30-week academic year program, group classes in dance, fencing, choir, orchestra, theatre, visual arts, and group music/ensembles run for a school year or a 12–16 week semester, private music lessons are typically held weekly for 32 weeks during the school year, and summer classes range from 3–5 day camps to weekly recurring classes. SCAA has a faculty of over 30 professionally trained artists and educators and is led by Dr. Jennifer Green-Flint, SCAA Executive Director.
