Guy Enriques Team Camp (GETC) is a team volleyball camp that focuses on Team Volleyball Camp sessions. The program uses cutting-edge and innovative practice and coaching strategies and emphasizes “We before Me” as a core idea for players and teams. GETC also focuses on developing the inner character and mental toughness of a player and team through its volleyball camp structure.
Guy Enriques Team Camp (GETC) started in 1987 and is entering its 40th year of building strong volleyball teams. The camp describes itself as the largest and best in the Northwest since 1987 and states that, for many athletes and teams, GETC is the highlight of their summer and is often a life-changing event. The mission of GETC is creating the best version of each player, grooming their mental toughness, and getting them to buy into the belief of “We before Me.” The program states that it is more than just a team volleyball camp and that it is an opportunity to teach athletes to take responsibility for their own success and manage their thinking to create the best version of themselves. Camps are grounded on solid principles and values that redefine how, what, and why coaches coach, and they use Coach Guy’s Athletic Powerbook to take daily practice stats and accurately measure progress. A fundamental idea of the camp is “Building People” in lockstep with teaching coaching principles that produce results.
Coach Enriques, also referred to as Coach Guy, leads the program. He had a little more than 6 years of high school coaching experience at Gresham High School. He was the Head Coach of the Oregon State Women’s Volleyball Program and led the Oregon State Beavers from the bottom of the PAC 10 Conference to a 3rd place finish in the PAC and a top 20 national ranking. He has been awarded PAC-10 Coach of the Year and a Regional Coach of the Year Award.
