About

Gridiron PNW Youth Flag Football offers flag football for kids and teens in a non-contact format. The program includes organized flag football games in multiple divisions based on age and format, including 5v5 and 7v7 options.

• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Spring season runs from mid-March to early June, summer season runs from late June through early August, and fall season runs from September through October. Spring and fall include 6 regular season games plus end-of-season playoffs for teams with a .500 or better record, and summer includes 4 regular season games plus a final matchup or playoff-style game for all teams. No programs are offered during the winter season.
• Price: Taxes are included and shipping is calculated at checkout. Registration opens 4–5 months before each season starts, with prices increasing every 30–45 days, and current pricing is shown during checkout.

Gridiron PNW states that flag football provides safe, fun gameplay for kids of all ages and experience levels and describes this non-contact sport as a way for kids and teens to learn foundational football skills, get active, meet new friends, and have fun. Programs are offered in the Pacific Northwest for kids who are brand new to the sport as well as those with more experience.

All athletes receive a Gridiron uniform consisting of a jersey top, matching shorts, and a flag belt. All teams are led by volunteer coaches, most of whom are parents of players, and each team is required to have a volunteer coach. Gridiron provides training and resources to support all new coaches.

The program offers 5v5 coed flag divisions for 6U, 8U, and 10U, and 5v5 boys and girls divisions for 12U Boys and 12U Girls. It also offers 7v7 flag divisions for 14U Boys, 14U Girls, and 17U High School Girls. Player divisions are based on the participant's age as of a specific cutoff date for each season: August 1 for summer and fall, January 1 for winter, and March 1 for spring, which the program states is used to ensure consistent and fair placement across all programs throughout the year.

Weather-related cancellations may be rescheduled as doubleheaders when possible. The program notes that the earlier families sign up, the more they save, and encourages starting registration early to lock in the best rate. Questions can be directed to [email protected].
