Cooking Classes at The Gifted Kitchen offers hands-on cooking classes where students take part in cooking classes in an open teaching kitchen. The program operates within a friendly neighborhood kitchen that also supports personal chef services, meal planning, cottage food sales, on-site catered events, and special events. Students work in an environment that includes an intimate, upscale market setting with creative and great-tasting food options available for purchase, including handcrafted signature sandwiches, wraps, salads, desserts, snacks, side dishes, and entrees.

• Schedule: Class and event options are available Monday to Friday between 11am and 6pm, with special events on Saturdays.
The Gifted Kitchen launched in 2014 as a home-based business and later expanded into commercial space as the business grew. Owner Cathie Groesbeck leads the program and is a professionally trained chef with degrees in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management. The Gifted Kitchen’s mission is to “inspire others to greatness through discovering, creating, and enjoying delicious, nutritious cuisine in a fun, unique and memorable environment.” The program identifies core values that include Integrity, Passion, Commitment to customers, Teamwork, Constant improvement, Accountability, and Quality, and it describes itself as being committed to serving as “the beating heart” of the Longview/Kelso community as a place for people to gather, celebrate, create, and get inspired. One parent and catering student described a family event there as “a great day and wonderful evening” and “a huge highlight” for their family.
