Premiere Dance Center

Premiere Dance Center offers classes in ballet, contemporary, hip hop, tap, jazz, jazz funk, lyrical, acro, Bollywood, cheer/pom, technique, creative movement, Tiny Tots, Parent&Me, Pre Pointe, Pointe, and competitive dance. The program also offers adult ballet, Silver Swans, Pilates, yoga, birthday parties, after school activities, and a pre-professional training and competition team called Premiere Co. for dancers 6–18 years old.

Premiere Dance Center describes itself as a training facility for dancers with big hearts and bigger dreams and as a studio created as a destination and sanctuary for aspiring dancers from throughout the Puget Sound region. The studio states that it offers classes in all styles for all levels, welcomes all ages and experiences, and maintains rolling registration all year. Premiere Dance Center states that it has served the greater Eastside community for more than 20 years and brings dance classes to kids, teens, and adults in Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Sammamish, Issaquah, Renton, Woodinville, Seattle, and Bothell. The faculty is described as committed to providing safe and inspiring class experiences for all dancers, and the studio presents itself as a safe space where dancers feel supported and inspired no matter where they are on their dance journey.

Premiere Co. is described as a pre-professional training program and competition team for dancers 6–18 years old, offering weekly training in major dance styles, personal mentorship and coaching, and solo, duo/trio, and group performances, competitions, and conventions. The studio emphasizes a simple Code of Conduct focused on respect, encouragement, and kindness, and this Code of Conduct explicitly prohibits arrogance, gossip, intimidation, abuse, and theft.

The leadership team includes Artistic Director Carolyn Farrar (Ballet, Premiere Co.), accountant Seena Poopathi, admin staff member Alexa Bowens, photographer and marketing manager Dakota Elizabeth, office manager Irina Sarrels, social media director Dana Douthwaite, and social media assistant and videographer Ashley Salem. One parent testimonial states, “My daughter, Greta, had a wonderful experience over the past year and the recital was no exception. After coming from another studio a year ago that didn't prioritize growing their youngest dancers, your program has been a bright light in the midst of the pandemic!”
