Camp Sparkle is a free summer day camp where campers spend a week learning about cancer, participating in therapeutic activities, going on field trips, and making friends with campers and counselors who are just like them. Activities at Camp Sparkle and Sparkle Saturdays include therapeutic arts activity, painting, and ice skating. Sparkle Saturday brings the magic of camp to families throughout the year with a special therapeutic arts activity for kids and teens and a parent support group.

• Price: Camp Sparkle is a free, summer day camp for kids and teens who have been impacted by cancer, and all programs and services are provided free of charge.

Camp Sparkle is for children and teens who have been impacted by cancer, either from a personal diagnosis or that of a loved one. Children and teens who have completed Kindergarten and older who have been impacted by cancer are eligible, with campers entering 1st–8th grade and counselors entering 9th grade and up. Sparkle Saturdays are open to any child impacted by cancer who is in Kindergarten and older. Camp Sparkle and Sparkle Saturdays are programs of Cancer Pathways, which has been in the community for over 20 years and officially opened its Seattle clubhouse doors in 2001.

For Summer 2026, Camp Sparkle sessions are scheduled for June 29–July 3 in Bellevue, July 6–10 in Woodinville, July 27–31 in Seattle, and August 10–14 in Tacoma, with priority registration from February 2 to April 15. For the 2025–2026 school year, Sparkle Saturdays will be held on the first Saturday of each month (except January) in Seattle, on October 4, November 1, December 6, January 10, February 7, March 7, April 4, and May 2. All Sparkle Saturday activities are facilitated by licensed clinical social workers, and support services include emotional support from a licensed clinical social worker (MSW/LCSW).

Camp Sparkle is led by Michaela Phillips, Director of Camp Sparkle and Family Programs, and Morgan Weidner, Youth and Community Programs Manager, with Anna Gottlieb serving as the first Executive Director in 2001. Programs and services are offered in person throughout Washington state and virtually nationwide. Camp Sparkle is a proud member of the Children’s Oncology Camping Association and Care Camps, has served more than 2,450 campers, operates in 5 locations, and serves about 180 youth each summer. Camp Sparkle is committed to reducing the financial burden of cancer on families by offering its program free of charge, and in-kind sponsors support buses for field trips, lunches, field trip tickets, and more.
