About the provider

For more than two decades, Family Black Belt Academy has been serving the communities of Queen Anne, Magnolia, Fremont, and Ballard. The school says it measures success by rank and by how students’ lives improve, and it describes its focus as increasing focus, reducing stress, and increasing confidence.

Safety is described as the first concern. The curriculum is scaffolded so students are never placed in a situation they are not ready for. The school says students are never trained to practice techniques on one another. The first two family classes are free. The school offers a family discount for a second student; if you pay the full price of two students, the rest of the family can train for free.
