About
Hall of Fame Team Camp offers traditional sports, newly-created active games, “backyard” activities, wacky relays, creative sports games, and other fun activities. Campers take part in Art Classes, Dance Fitness, Young Engineering, Empowered Yoga, and a variety of games, sports, tournaments, and team-building activities. Every Camp Session includes a Hall of Fame Team Camp t-shirt, daily popsicles, and water refills.
• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: June–August, 9am–3:45pm; 1- or 2-week sessions, with every Camp Session including 10 days
Hall of Fame Team Camp was created in 2020 and was founded with 5 kids, including the founder’s son. In its third year, in Summer 2022, more than 350 different kids were expected to participate, and in Fall 2022 the team created an After-School “Camp.” The leadership team includes Kevin LeMoine, Founder & Director; Sara Ray, Director of After-School Programs; and Noah Higgins, Program Manager.
Staff candidates are at least 16 years old and have relevant experience supervising and leading groups of children, and counselors are paid well and go through thorough training. Team-building activities are an integral part of the camp, and the program runs as a screen-free summer with no phones, tablets, or consoles. Hall of Fame Team Camp is small, local, and personal, is not a national chain or franchise, and is described as “not an impersonal day care.”
Every Camp Session includes an awards ceremony, and campers can earn prizes through the Bongo Bucks program. The camp director is available by phone before and throughout camp. Photos of campers are posted daily in a secure system that is only accessible by parents of campers, and children are noticed and known, praised, cheered on, and recognized for growth, enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and positivity.
Hall of Fame Team Camp After-School Enrichment provides active after-school classes that support Seattle-area schools with care and activities, currently serving Cascadia Elementary, Catherine Blaine K-8, Hazel Wolf K-8, Lake Forest Park Elementary, Olympic View Elementary, Thornton Creek Elementary, View Ridge Elementary, Viewlands Elementary, and Wedgwood Elementary. The program has been awarded Silver Best Summer Camp in The People’s Choice Best in the PNW. One parent shared, “This camp is so good for kids of all ages and athletic abilities. It is equally fun for my son and daughter. It is like an organized recess with great counselors!” — Molly.
