Pratt Youth & Teen Programs takes place in Pratt Fine Arts Center studios, including professionally equipped studios and a professional studio environment. The Family + Me program covers both a student ages 13–17 and one accompanying adult or caregiver in the class fee and includes all necessary supplies. The program’s mission is to foster a creative, inclusive art-making community, providing access to quality education and professionally equipped studios for everyone, and to promote the joy and transformative power of art while supporting the development of visual artists. As a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, Pratt Fine Arts Center provides access to artistic expression through an inclusive community, a culture of learning, and specially equipped studios. Pratt Fine Arts Center is located in Seattle’s Historic Central Area Arts & Cultural District near Pratt Park and recognizes that it occupies the traditional territories of the Coast Salish people, including the Duwamish People, past, present, and future. The organization states a commitment to racial equity and to actively working to break down systemic barriers and create equitable opportunities for all. Facilities have accessibility limitations, and disability-related accommodations are offered on request. Free and reduced-cost access is supported through classes, holiday workshops, free Veterans Day classes, and youth teen summer drop-in art sessions. Pratt depends on contributions to keep class rates affordable, offer Pay-What-You-Can classes for local children, provide scholarships and tuition assistance, and bring Master Artists to campus. The leadership team includes staff such as the Youth and Teen Studio Manager, Executive Director, Director of Development, Director of Education & Programs, and multiple studio managers and technicians for glass, painting/drawing/printmaking, metal sculpture, jewelry/metals and stone, and wood.
