University Tutoring

University Tutoring offers one-to-one tutoring for K-12 students and beyond, subject and study skills support for K-adult students, test prep, remote tutoring worldwide, and Seattle Area in-person tutoring. It also offers 2026 Summer Programs, Fall PSAT Prep Class, Spanish Prep Class, Middle School Study Skills, High School Study Skills, and Geometry Fundamentals.

• General schedule: Summer group courses; small groups; minimum of 3 students required for a course to run; one individual 50-minute make-up session if two or more group sessions are missed.

About the provider

University Tutoring has provided one-to-one tutoring services since 1979. Chris and Michelle Schaber took over operations in 2013. Chris has been one of the tutors since 2004 and still spends much of his time working with students, and Michelle uses her expertise as an educator to advise and drive the overall direction of University Tutoring. The program says it believes all students are capable learners and describes itself as a locally owned business that welcomes students and families of all backgrounds.

• Test Proctoring

Tutoring program is designed around specific objectives, learning style, schedule, and unique needs. Course sizes are kept to small groups. In order for a course to run, a minimum of 3 students must sign up. If a student misses two or more group sessions, they get one individual 50-minute make-up session. If a student refers someone to a class and they sign up, both receive a $50 discount off the total cost of the course. Enrollment can be requested by call or email, and contact within 72 hours is stated for confirmation and deposit payment.
