About
Gonzaga University Summer Dance Intensives offers classes in ballet, contemporary technique, jazz, hip-hop, modern, musical theatre, multicultural dance forms, Tap, and Pointe. The program includes both junior and senior sessions with sample daily schedules that feature ballet as a base class followed by a mix of contemporary or modern and specialty classes such as Tap, musical theatre, Pointe, and multicultural dance forms.
• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: Senior Session runs July 27–31, 2026, from 9:00AM to 4:00PM; Junior Session runs August 3–7, 2026, from 9:00AM to 12:30PM
• Price: Senior Session: $350, with price increasing to $400 after July 11; Junior Session: $250, with price increasing to $300 after July 11
Classes are taught by Gonzaga University faculty and guest artists. Registration includes an SDI t-shirt and lunch on the final day. A placement class is held on the first day of the workshop instead of auditions, and university accommodations are not available for this intensive. The Summer Dance Intensive Director is Pam Erickson, and the Dance Program Coordinator is Sydney Zinnecker.
