About
Gonzaga University Summer Dance Intensives offers classes in ballet, contemporary technique, jazz, hip-hop, modern, musical theatre, multicultural dance forms, Tap, and Pointe. The program includes a Junior Session and a Senior Session with sample daily schedules that combine ballet, technique classes, snack or lunch breaks, and specialty classes such as Tap, Musical Theatre, Pointe, and multicultural dance forms.
• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: Senior Session runs July 28–August 1, 2025, 9:00AM–4:00PM; Junior Session runs August 4–August 8, 2025, 9:00AM–12:30PM
• Price: Senior Session $350 (increases to $400 on July 11); Junior Session $200 (increases to $250 on July 11)
The Senior Session is for intermediate/advanced dancers ages 13–20, and the Junior Session is for beginner/intermediate dancers ages 9–13. Classes are taught by Gonzaga University faculty and guest artists in the Gonzaga Dance Studios and the Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center. Registration includes an SDI t-shirt and lunch on the final day, and 2025 registration opens February 24. Auditions are not required, as a placement class is held on the first day of the workshop, and university accommodations are not available for this intensive. The Summer Dance Intensive Director is Pam Erickson, and the Dance Program Coordinator is Sydney Zinnecker.
