Inland Northwest Ballet

Inland Northwest Ballet offers Giggles & Wiggles for typically ages 2.5 to 5, Creative Dance for ages 3 to 6, Toddler Ballet Classes starting at age 2.5, Foundational Ballet Classes, Contemporary & Modern Dance for Ballet 2 and up, and Classical Ballet Class for children ages 5 and up. Toddler Ballet Classes include movement to music with fairy wings, rhythm instruments, skirts, ribbons, and other props, and Creative Dance is a playful yet structured introduction to classical ballet and tap.

Programs

• Giggles & Wiggles — typically 2.5 - 5 years old · For young children who want to move, explore, and have fun in a relaxed and playful environment. Does not include performance opportunities.
• Creative Dance — ages 3 to 6 · Playful yet structured introduction to classical ballet and tap. Students can optionally participate in the studio’s annual June performance.
• Toddler Ballet Classes — instruction beginning at age 2.5 · Exploring movement to music with creative imagination play, using fairy wings, rhythm instruments, skirts, ribbons, and more.
• Foundational Ballet Classes — A 45-minute class introducing young dancers to classical ballet with exercises to enhance balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength.
• Contemporary & Modern Dance — Ballet 2 and up · Explores various styles of movement while building on a ballet foundation.
• Classical Ballet Class — children ages 5 and up

About the provider

Studio Director Janine Fraser is named for Inland Northwest Ballet. The stated goals include self confidence, musical awareness, intellectual growth, physical strength, flexibility, awareness of nutrition and hydration, leadership abilities, work ethic, social interaction, personal growth, discipline, artistic excellence, and fun, and the mission is to nurture and enhance each aspiring student's natural love of dance.

Creative Dance students have the option to perform on stage in the annual INB performance in June. Giggles & Wiggles does not include performance opportunities. Boys ages 7 and up can receive scholarships. Pointe work is typically around ages 11 or 12 after several years of consistent training.
