Kids and Youth Programs at Museum of Glass include activities such as Kids Design Glass, Science of Art, Junior Curator Academy, and Hot Shop Heroes. The program also features glassmaking demonstrations, Visiting Artist Residencies, hands-on workshops inspired by the Museum’s current exhibitions and seasons, docent-led tours, outdoor walking tours, and live glassmaking.

• Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 10am–5pm

Since opening in 2002, Museum of Glass has engaged over 250,000 students through educational programs and has served 800 soldiers and veterans through the Hot Shop Heroes program. The Museum’s mission is to ignite creativity, fuel discovery, and enrich lives through glass and glassmaking. Museum of Glass is led by Executive Director Deborah Lenk, Hot Shop Director Benjamin Cobb, Collections and Exhibitions Director Rebecca Engelhardt, Finance Director Jeff Ganung, Development Director Melinda Longabaugh, and Marketing and Communications Director Tim Butler. In 2017, USA Today named Museum of Glass a Top 10 tourist destination in Washington State. The Museum acknowledges its location on the traditional homelands of the Puyallup Tribe and Coast Salish peoples and states that it will continue to build inclusive and respectful partnerships to amplify the voices, experiences, and histories of these communities.
